The long-awaited single-motor rear-wheel drive Cybertruck is here! In the initial release of the Cybertruck, Tesla said that they were planning for three models - a three-motor Cyberbeast, a two-motor AWD, and a single-motor rear-wheel drive. The new single-motor rear-wheel drive trim is called the "Long Range" and boasts up to 350 miles of range. That's a 25-mile range improvement over the All-Wheel Drive model. Towing is reduced to 7,500 lbs and it can accelerate from 0-60 in 6.2 seconds (4.1 seconds for the AWD, and 2.6 seconds for the Cyberbeast). GMC today introduced the 2026 Sierra EV with a full range of trims, capability, and battery configurations, giving customers more choice than ever to find the perfect electric GMC pickup for their next adventure. The premium Elevation and rugged AT4 trims join the iconic Denali to complete a lineup that now has a starting MSRP of $64,495 (including $2,095 DFC). The Tesla Cybertruck has officially received its crash safety rating more than a year after deliveries began in November 2023—and the results are impressive. The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) awarded the Cybertruck an overall five-star safety rating, excelling in nearly every individual category. As part of the New Car Assessment Program (NCAP), the NHTSA conducted multiple crash tests on 2024 Tesla Cybertrucks. In the frontal crash test—simulating a head-on collision at 35 mph—the Cybertruck earned a five-star rating for the driver and a four-star rating for the passenger.
